Life Won't Wait is a tattoo and piercing studio located in Portsmouth. In 2019, owner Joss Wilders took over the studio from My Last One, which was previously owned by the late Steve Willett.
The studio hosts resident artists who each specialise in their own styles, including oriental, dotwork, geometric, fine line, traditional, and illustrative tattooing. You can find out more about the individual artists here.

Every step of the process is explained thoroughly, and no question is too small.The artists here are more than happy to answer any questions you may have before, during, or after your tattoo.
The talented artists who work from our studio are self-employed professionals managing their own schedules and clients. We are proud to support their work and provide a welcoming space for their artistry.
Update from Joss! (Jan)
Our studio property is still up for sale but there has been no progress just yet, so Life Won’t Wait Tattoo is open and running exactly as normal. I am also getting married in May which means I definitely will not be moving locations before then. One big life event at a time!
I am taking bookings up until the end of April and will reassess plans as we go unfortunately these things take time!

I am still tattooing and always will. Life Won’t Wait Tattoo will be relocating, not closing. The new spot is not confirmed yet but it will be within around 30 minutes of our current Portsmouth location. If you are mid sleeve, mid back piece, or planning something large, please do not worry. You will absolutely be able to finish ongoing projects and start new ones with me.
Excited to be tattooing at Brighton Tattoo Convention in Feb. I have some space on the Sunday if you would like something bespoke please get in touch asap to book in. I will also be keeping time open for walk ups (flash designs only) on the day. Can’t wait!

HOW TO BOOK A TATTOO
Please include ALL of the following:
- Description of tattoo you would like
e.g. Peony flower
- Style
e.g. Dotwork
- Placement on your body
e.g. Upper left arm
- Artist preference
- Day of the week or date preference
e.g Wednesdays or Saturdays
- Reference images

This is usually the easiest and quickest way to get booked in so please feel free to come into the studio to discuss your tattoo ideas, pay a deposit and get booked in with one of our resident artists.
The studio is open 10am-5/6pm Tuesday- Saturday. Some of our artists are part time so you can always check if they are in the studio by calling 07507974914 first.
Cash only - we do not have a card machine but there is a cash point at the co-op a few doors down.
